PowerDocks Joins the UMass Dartmouth Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship


Lt. Governor Karyn Polito, state Sen. Michael Rodrigues: state Rep. Paul Schmid, state Rep. Carol Fiola, state Rep. Steve Howitt, Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia and other local elected officials and business leaders were on hand on September 9th as the UMass Dartmouth Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) announced PowerDocks as their newest enterprise. PowerDocks will replace the outgoing company: Ocean Server Technology, which got it's start at the CIE. PowerDocks will be joining the ranks of Boston Engineering and Seavision Underwater Solutions thus expanding the marine technology enterprises at the CIE.

UMass Dartmouth released a press release about the event featuring the breadth and scope of PowerDocks:

"As Ocean Server Technology is leaving the CIE, the facility will be welcoming PowerDocks, a start-up firm that develops marine-based power docking stations for electric-powered vessels, autonomous surface and underwater vehicle, and aquaculture systems. The technology has global national defense, commercial, oceanography applications."
